( By :Ijaz Hashmi ) Pakistan Army will play its due role in a legal and transparent manner in the investigation of the Panamagate case, the corps commanders resolved on Monday.
“The forum pledged that the institution, through its members in joint investigation team, shall play its due role in a legal and transparent manner fulfilling confidence reposed by the apex court of Pakistan,” the military’s media wing, Inter-Service Public Relations, said in a statement.
According to the communiqué, the 202nd Corps Commanders Conference discussed the Panama Case verdict by the Supreme Court of Pakistan “with special reference to JIT”. The participants of the meeting also reviewed progress of the ongoing countrywide military offensive Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
202nd Corps Commanders’ Conference held at GHQ today. Progress of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was reviewed. Forum also discussed Panama Case decision by Supreme Court with special reference to Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
