Mandi Bahauddin: (Sher Gondal) Senior Advocate and a dedicated social worker Shahzad Akhtar Ranjha has demanded end of tout mafia in judicial complex. While talking to media persons here in court premises he said tout mafia was badly damaging good image of judiciary as well as lawyers community with their dirty tactics. Tout mafia members wear lawyers’ uniform and pose themselves as practicing lawyers to litigants. They manage their access to judges, lawyers and other government officers and prepare selfies with them. They show these selfies to innocent litigants and mint huge amounts of money from them in name of judges by assuring that they have relations with judges and they would get their cases won in their favor. They also sell clients to working lawyers for some commission. Shahzad Ranjha who was accompanied by Naveed Ahmed Kadhar and Iqbal Gondal advocates stressed the need for purging the judicial system from such swindlers. He urged district and sessions judge and bar executive body to take notice of tout mafia operating in courts area and launch appropriate sanitisation operation against them. Fraudsters who pose themselves as lawyers should be declared as touts and their names be displayed at prominent places in the judicial complex for information of litigants and public at large.
