The Wah Cantonment Police resolved a mystery of blind murder of a woman- mother of two who was trapped through telephonic friendship with a man who took her to Lahore and later killed her with the help of his friend after snatching cash and jewelry from her and buried there.
While sharing details with media, Sub divisional Police officer (SDPO) Taxila circle DSP Sajid Gondal has said that WA- a mother of two and resident of Lalarukh Wah Cantt indulge friendship with Aqeel Latif- a young man native of Lahore through cell phone. As the friendship deepens, the woman eloped with her boy friend along with cash Rs 0.75 million and 8 tola gold leaving behind her two minor kids on September 5 this year. The DSP has further revealed that during interrogation the accused has confessed that the both reached at Lahore and starts living in a single rented room. The woman disappearance case was registered in Police station number 4, Wah Cantt under section 496-A on the complaint of her husband Tariq Mehmood. Mr Gondal has further said that after registration of the case, Police through mobile phone data traced the main accused Aqeel Lateef who confessed the crime of eloping the woman and keeping her for weeks in a single rented room. Mr Gondal has said that the accused has confessed during interrogation that he along with his friend Tassduq Mehmood has strangled to death and later buried the woman after she demanded that Aqeel- her telephonic friend should contract marriage with her. ”As he could not afford marriage and the woman has refused to go back, the accused with the help of his friend killed her to get off from her.” Mr Gondal added.
He said that Police arrested both the accused and sent them behind bars for abduction, looting and later killing the woman. He said that court would be punished both the accused but life ahead for the victim both minor kids has ruined and society should learn from the tragic end of the telephonic friendship such cases as mere telephonic friendship has ruined two families.
