In a gesture reflecting Pakistan’s deep-rooted brotherly ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood chairman Senate standing Committee on defense and his family hosted a grand dinner reception in Islamabad to honour His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League (رابطة العالم الإسلامي).
The event brought together prominent political figures, diplomats, media representatives, and distinguished guests from across the country. Guests warmly welcomed Dr. Al-Issa with the message:
“اهلا وسهلا مرحبا بمعالى الامين العام لرابطة العالم الاسلامى الدكتور محمد بن عبد الكريم العيسى فى بلده الثانى باكستان” —
(“Welcome, Your Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, to your second home, Pakistan.”)
During the reception, speakers highlighted Dr. Al-Issa’s remarkable role in promoting interfaith harmony, global peace, and Islamic unity through the Muslim World League. They emphasized that his leadership continues to strengthen the moral and spiritual bonds among Muslim nations.
The evening was attended by several notable personalities.
Senator Talha Mahmood expressed heartfelt appreciation for Dr. Al-Issa’s visit, calling it “a moment of pride and a reaffirmation of the eternal brotherhood between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.”
The reception concluded with warm exchanges, cultural sentiments, and renewed commitments to deepening cooperation between the two nations — united by faith, respect, and shared values.
