Pakistan is positioning itself as the lead mediator trying to broker an end to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, the Financial Times reported.
Pakistani army chief Asim Munir spoke with Trump on Sunday, the newspaper reported, citing two people briefed on the call.
Reuters could not immediately verify the report, which also said that senior Pakistani officials were back-channelling communications between Tehran and Trump’s envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.
