Mumbai Man Becomes Hero After Helping Woman Deliver Baby on Train Platform
Mumbai, India – In a heartwarming act of bravery and compassion, a man in Mumbai became a real-life hero after he helped a woman deliver her baby at Ram Mandir railway station around 1 AM on Tuesday night.
According to reports, the woman went into sudden labour while travelling by train. Seeing her in distress, Vikas Bedre quickly pulled the emergency chain to stop the train and rushed to assist her.
Musician Manjeet Dhillon, who witnessed the incident, shared the emotional account on Instagram. He described the intense moment when the baby was partially delivered, calling it a “life-threatening situation.”
“I still get chills saying this. The woman’s baby was halfway out—half inside and half outside. At that very moment, it truly felt like God had sent this brother there for a reason,” Dhillon wrote.
With no ambulance or medical team immediately available, Vikas used presence of mind and contacted his friend, Dr. Devika Deshmukh, via video call. Following her step-by-step guidance, he managed to safely deliver the baby on the platform before medical help arrived.
The touching story has since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread praise for Vikas’s extraordinary courage, humanity, and quick thinking. Many users hailed him as a “true hero” and an “angel in disguise.”
