Pakistan’s Kashmir policy was specified by the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam, “Kashmir is the Jugular Vein of Pakistan.” Kashmir remains the unfinished agenda of the 1947 partition which is pending resolution as per UN resolution. Kashmiris regard Pakistan as a base for their peaceful struggle against Indian illegal occupation. Pakistan has persistently followed the Kashmir Policy with unabated resolve to support the peaceful struggle for right of self-determination from Indian oppression. Kashmiris are well aware of the fact that Pakistan has pleaded their right of self-determination in international forums/ platforms like; UN, OIC, EU etc. Pertinent to mention that Pakistan’s national foreign policy in relation with ties with India has remained unwaveringly singular i-e resolution of Kashmir issue as per UN resolution. Pakistan has fought three wars with India over the Kashmir issue which testifies its resolve towards liberating IIOJK from Indian occupation. Currently, Kashmir is divided into two parts IIOJK administrated by India government and Azad Kashmir with autonomous administration. There is a stark dissimilarity in the situation of two sides; Pakistani Kashmir has an elected assembly and government with complete political and financial autonomy. Contrarily, the Indian illegally occupied Kashmir is regarded as the biggest open jail on the face of death. Indians have deployed around 1M security forces in IIOJK. Kashmiris are deprived of basic rights and facing worst human rights abuses for seven decades. The Indian government claimed the return to complete normalcy and the beginning of a new era of peace and prosperity in IIOJK owing to the abrogation of Article 370&35A. The ground realities have debunked the Indian propaganda as India has failed to subdue the resilience of people of IIOJK fighting for their rights of self-determination according to UNSC resolution. It is public knowledge that Kashmiri of IIOJK celebrate and cherish the success of AJK, despite Indian extreme oppressive policies preferring to be buried in Pakistan’s national flag. Pakistan has reiterated its firm resolves to stand with Kashmiris till realization of their right of self-determination as promised by the international community. The people of IIOJK see a dark future under the Indian occupation and now they want to break the shackles of slavery forced upon them by Indian expansionist designs. Unrest in Kashmir since Indian independence and popular protests rallies against the Indian government validate that Kashmiri people desire to become a part of Pakistan. Pakistan stands with the people of Kashmir unequivocally in their struggle for freedom from tyranny and repression.
