The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) passionately calls upon all individuals and communities to unite and observe the 5th of August as a definitive Black Day. It is crucial that we join hands and demonstrate our unwavering determination to protest against the unjust actions that transpired on this infamous day.
Let us come together in a show of solidarity and make our voices heard. By standing up against oppression, we can send a powerful message to the world: that we will not be silenced, that our cause is just, and that we demand justice for the suffering endured by our people.
Be part of this historic day of resistance. Let the world witness our unyielding resolve to fight for our rights and freedom. Join us on the 5th of August as we mark this day as a symbol of our collective struggle against oppression, and pave the way for a brighter, more equitable future.
Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can conquer.
The leadership of APHC has earnestly appealed to the people of IIOJK to commemorate 5th August as “Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir” or the Day of Exploitation of Kashmir. This solemn observance aims to convey a resolute message to the international community that the Kashmiri people unequivocally reject India’s unlawful occupation of their homeland. They vow to persist in their struggle until the attainment of their inherent right to self-determination.
This heartfelt appeal was made by prominent figures including Massarat Alam Butt, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Asiya Andrabi, and Nayeem Ahmed Khan, who currently remain unjustly detained in the notorious Tihar Jail in New Delhi. These leaders, despite their imprisonment, stand united in their unwavering commitment to the cause of Kashmir.
The Kashmiri people will continue their unwavering fight, firmly undeterred by India’s oppressive measures. The illegitimate seizure of 5th August 2019 witnessed the encroachment upon the political, social, religious, and fundamental rights of the Kashmiri population. The Indian government, backed by the RSS ideology, transformed the region into a vast open-air prison, effectively eroding its distinctive identity, culture, and demographic composition.
On this solemn occasion, Kashmiris around the globe are urged to stage peaceful protests on 5th August, in order to draw the attention of the world towards the agony endured by the oppressed people of IIOJK. Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori, a prominent APHC leader, aptly described the abrogation of special status as a severe breach of promise and an act of treachery perpetrated by India, further highlighting the disappointing apathy displayed by the United Nations.
Moreover, Hilal Ahmad War and Abdul Samad Inqilabi, outspoken leaders of APHC, aptly labeled 5th August as one of the darkest chapters in the history of IIOJK. They passionately stated that the Modi government, through its oppressive forces, has unleashed a reign of terror upon the region since that fateful day in 2019. Their heartfelt appeal implores the global community to intervene and put an end to the bloodshed and suffering endured by the Kashmiri people.
India’s relentless determination to eradicate the very existence of Muslims in IIOJK due to their aspirations for
