Two soldiers of the Pakistan Army army were reportedly killed during an operation against terrorists in Sawabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

Security forces were conducting an intelligence-based operation against terrorists in Sawabi district’s Malikabad area.

In an “exchange of fire” during the operation Captain Junaid and Sepoy Amjad were killed, the ISPR statement said.

The exchange of fire is on-going and the compound has been cordoned off, the statement said.
