KARACHI: Dr Farooq Sattar said on Tuesday that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf had been summoned from the outside to break MQM.

He made these comments while speaking to media personnel in Karachi. Sattar said that there were some people who thought that MQM was done and dusted after the incident of August 22.

“Some people thought after the August 22 incident that MQM’s ship had stopped,” he said. “But our workers’ passion helped start this ship once again,” he added.

Farooq Sattar said that if Muhajirs were shunned from the mainstream, then the same passion of 1956 may not yet return again.

“We should also be considered Pakistanis, we must not be cornered,” he said. “If there exists the passion for Pakistan’s security, then it is in the sons of those who created Pakistan,” eh added.

Farooq Sattar also took shots at PTI’s rally in Karachi’s Nishtar Park and termed it as a ‘jalsi’. He said that PTI’s rally was missing the ‘current’ that even PSP’s Malir rally displayed.

Farooq Sattar alleged that PTI had been brought in to dismantle or break MQM.
