SANAA: Yemen’s Houthi rebels have released footage purportedly showing the wreckage of a Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) F-15 fighter jet, following their claim that they shot down the aircraft over Marib province.
The Houthis said the aircraft was brought down using a locally manufactured surface-to-air missile during military operations in the region.
The released footage appears to show debris from the fighter jet, although the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been independently verified.
The fate of the aircraft’s pilots remains unclear, with no confirmed information publicly available regarding whether they ejected, were rescued or remain missing.
Saudi authorities have yet to officially confirm the reported loss of the aircraft or provide details about the crew.
The incident comes amid escalating hostilities between Saudi forces and the Iran-backed Houthi movement, raising fresh concerns over regional security and military operations in Yemen.
