India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh issued a strong warning to Pakistan, declaring that every inch of its territory lies within the range of India’s BrahMos missiles, as he underscored the country’s expanding defence capabilities.
Speaking at the BrahMos Aerospace facility in Lucknow, where he flagged off the first batch of indigenously produced BrahMos missiles, Singh described Operation Sindoor as merely a “trailer” of India’s military power.
“India’s defence forces have developed a habit of victory. We are self-reliant, prepared, and capable of responding decisively to any threat. The BrahMos system stands as a symbol of our growing technological and strategic strength,” the Defence Minister said.
The BrahMos missile — a supersonic cruise missile jointly developed by India and Russia — is known for its precision strike capability and versatility across land, sea, and air platforms. The Lucknow facility represents a key milestone in India’s push for Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) in the defence sector.
Rajnath Singh’s comments come amid heightened regional tensions and continued efforts by India to modernize its military through indigenous production and advanced weapon integration.
Defence analysts noted that his statement carries both a message of deterrence to adversaries and a signal of confidence in India’s domestic defence manufacturing ecosystem.
