Day 2 of the coveted Fashion Pakistani Week began on Wednesday in Karachi, held at a local hotel. The who’s who of the industry including fashion journalists, bloggers, designers, choreographers, fashionistas and people from all over the region marked their attendance to lend support to this huge fashion platform.
Menswear fashion stalwart Amir Adnan opened Act 1 with his collection that exuded grace, style and a distinct appeal to menswear with perfect colour contrasts, which made quite a statement on the ramp. The beige almost gold with off white jackets with coordinating pants, paired with coral collar shirts and printed ties were the highlights of the collection.
Sanam Chaudri’s aesthetic is always noteworthy as she stays different and unique always on the ramp, striking a chord with those who love staying classy and stylish. Her gold gowns with tasseled belts, floral borders for sleeves and mandarin collars looked regal and very chic.
Next up were Jafferjees who are known for their signature statement bags, that exude a luxurious appeal and stand out for their classy colours and handles. The monochrome colour palette with enlarged polka dots looked fun and quirky with tasseled handles.
Abdul Samad was laid back and casual in his style statement for menswear. There was an earthy touch with an Eastern beach wear look. The white straight shirts with knee length pants paired with black long coats looked extremely stylish and very apt for the summer.
Zaheer Abbas opened Act 2 with a collection depicting an angelic look to wear a white maxi dress or a gown in summer. The long dresses paired with organza gowns with statement necklaces was Abbas’s summer look for women.
High-street brand Caanchi & Lugari were next up with a very stylish shoes and collar shirt collection, making a man look chic and sophisticated. From shades of blue to a subtle and then bold colour palette, the brand displayed all.
Gul Ahmed stole the show for many whilst displaying a collection that was elegant, royal and very stylish. The gold and ivory colour palette looked regal. With embroidered pants, short shirts with paisleys and soft sequencing and embroidery, paired with gold accessories, Gul Ahmed no doubt did a fabulous job.
Fahad Hussayn closed Day 2 with a collection that showed the designer’s signature bold headgears, make-up and loud colour palette. Staying true to himself, Hussayn showcased heavy set corsets and tops paired with ivory skirts and lowers. The colour palette consisted of gold, black, green and ivory mainly.
