As part of anti-Muslim agenda of RSS, Modi-led BJP regime has started implementing Hindutva agenda in schools after changing the syllabus and curriculum through National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). BJP regime has circulated order to District Chief Education Officers (CEOs) to provide details of all the religious schools functioning under their jurisdiction. The CEOs have been asked to submit the details of people heading the private institutions and trusts of all private schools. The Indian ploy is aimed at limiting the access of Muslim students to their religion and to learn about the true history of Jammu and Kashmir in the schools. BJP-RSS regime has already introduced syllabus in most of these schools that has been streamlined according to the Modi government’s guidelines which has minimized the use of Arabic, Islamiyat and history. Pertinent to mention, as part of anti-Muslim agenda several schools run by Indian Army and RSS in the occupied territory have been teaching their own religious and historical narratives to the students. Dagger Parivaar School, an institution run by a Pune-based organization in Baramulla town last year instructed its teachers to stop wearing hijab. The political experts and analysts as well as Hurriyat leaders believe that the Modi government wants to change the demographic composition of IIOJK by settling Indian Hindus in the territory. Extremist Hindus and members of RSS will be brought to IIOJK to further the Hindutva agenda of the Modi regime.
