Lt General (Retd) Hamood uz Zaman Khan, Secretary, Ministry of Defence of Pakistan, undertook a two-day visit to Seoul from 10 to 11 Octerber 2022 , to hold bilateral talks with his counterpart, and sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation between the two countries.
The MOU was signed on 11 October 2022 at Army Club, Ministry of National Defense (MND), Seoul.
During his bilateral talks with H.E Shin Beom Chul, Vice Minister for National Defence of the Republic of Korea, the two reviewed existing bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries.
They expressed satisfaction at the upward trajectory in the relationship, and agreed to further enhance cooperation in the field of defence.
Ambassador Nabeel Munir, Additional Secretary Defence Rear Admiral Faisal Amin and Defence Attache, Col Syed Changez Zafar also attended the meeting and MOU Signing Ceremony at MND, Seoul.
Secretary Defence informed the Vice Minister that Pakistan greatly valued its multidimensional relationship with the ROK, and was keen on further expanding and deepening this partnership in all spheres, including in the field of defence.



Vice Defense Minister Shin acknowledging that Korea-Pakistan bilateral defence relations were rooted in history, hoped his keen desire to further enhance cooperation between the two countries.
