The NHMP North Zone Road Safety Unit has effectively launched its passenger awareness campaign.

To protect humanity from injuries, loss of life, and property, the North Zone Road Safety Unit under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General N-5 North Zone has effectively launched its campaign to create awareness among the passengers.

Keeping in view the plight of motorcyclists on national highways, a ceremony was held at Sangjani Toll Plaza under the chairmanship of Deputy Inspector General N-5, North Zone, NHMP Ashfaq Ahmed to distribute free helmets/side view mirrors.

Free helmets and side-view mirrors were given to motorcyclists. Addressing the motorcyclists, the zonal commander reiterated that motorcyclists are most at risk while driving on national highways.

He added that due to the increasing number of traffic, motorcyclists are required to drive and follow the road safety rules, ie drive in the left lane, never exceed the speed limit. Use, always wear a safety helmet.

After that, the motorcyclist can ensure his safety while driving. He further said that NHMP would continue its efforts within the available resources for the safety and security of the passengers traveling on the national highways.

A road safety stall was also set up at the toll plaza. Road safety brochures / booklets and pamphlets were also distributed among the arriving passengers.
