HYDERABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) information secretary Moula Bux Chandio, his wife and son were tested positive for novel coronavirus on Tuesday.

All three isolated themselves within their house.

The tests were conducted and the report was prepared by the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) diagnostic and research laboratory.

PPP Hyderabad district information secretary Ahsan Abro said he had spoken to 67-year-old Chandio and was told that he was fine. His wife, son, daughter-in-law and another family member were infected, said Mr Abro, adding that they all were in home isolation and following all precautions.ARTICLE CONTINUES AFTER AD

SUKKUR: A 65-year-old resident of Bagh-i-Hayat Ali Shah locality of Sukkur died at the local civil hospital on Tuesday while he had been kept in the isolation ward of the civil hospital after being tested positive for coronavirus.

According to the hospital administration he was quarantined in the ward only a few days back.

According to the in-charge of the local Edhi Centre, Urs Magsi, the deceased was laid to rest in the main Nawan Goth graveyard as per the relevant SOPs.
