CPO takes serious notice over incident of stabbing a woman in Scheme III, area of police station Airport, sends SP Potohar to the crime scene. According to the details, the City Police Officer, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Faisal on receiving the information regarding incident of stabbing a woman with knife in Scheme III, area of police station Airport, immediately sent SP Potohar Syed Ali to the crime scene. SP reached at the spot and got collected the evidences under his supervision, the team of crime scene unit also arrived at the crime scene. SP Potohar Syed Ali told CPO Faisal Rana in a briefing that, the appurtenances of the house were scattered due to which the possibility of house robbery is also under consideration however an eyewitness has told that he saw a veiled woman wearing “burqah” leaving and escaping from the crime scene. Some other witnesses and the available evidence also confirmed that the culprit is possibly a woman who was wearing a burqah and was seen escaping from the crime scene. CPO Faisal Rana said that, we have to trace the incident within the next 72 hours, whatever the motives of the incident are, and if the the culprit is a woman only, she must be arrested after completing the legal requirements.
The CPO asked that, if the appurtenances of the house were scattered then why the culprit did not take away anything and directed the SP to investigate the matter on all the possible angles including house robbery. The CPO directed to get detailed information from the family of the injured woman however a case must immediately be registered on the application of the victim family, he added. The CPO directed to utilize latest scientific aid to trace the incident and said that SP Potohar will keep him updated on daily basis regarding follow up measures taken by the police in the matter.
