Heinous Crime Investigation Unit two arrested for murder

The Heinous Crime Investigation Unit on Tuesday said it solved a murder case from Nov 8 and arrested two suspects.

Sub Divisional Police Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Javaid Hassan told media persons that Mohammad Safeer, 30 and a native of Mansehra, who worked as a driver, was found dead in a rented room on G.T Road in Jameelabad, in the limits of the Taxila police station, with a bullet injury to his head, on Nov 8.

He said a case was registered on the complaint of the deceased’s brother, Mohammad Rafeeq and the case was handed over to the Heinous Crime Investigation Unit.

The DSP said a team led by Sub-Inspector Sabitul Hassan and Nisar Ahmed solved the case by perusing phone records and other evidence.

The DSP said the victim’s wife, Asya Bibi and his nephew, 23-year-old Mohammad Qadeer were arrested and are thought to have been having an affair.

The DSP said Qadeer planned the murder with Asya and then killed his uncle and fled to Mansehra.
