WASHINGTON: US has said no proposal is under consideration for slapping sanctions on Pakistan.
US statement department spokesperson Mark Toner said during press briefing here that recent operations against terrorists by Pakistan close to Afghan borders are encouraging.
He went on to say that a headway is seen to have been made in Pakistan operations against terrorists. Indiscriminate actions against militants are in the interest of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
“We encourage cooperation between Pakistan and India against terrorism”, he remarked
Reiterating demand for doing more , he said that Pakistan has been informed about US concern on terrorism. Islamabad will have to carry out indiscriminate operation against all terrorists, he added.
